About This Quote

When the Israelites were wandering in the desert for 40 years (Deuteronomy 2:7), they experienced many of the same trials that we face today. Daniel 12:1 tells us that God is “slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, giving the kingdom to those who love Him” (NLT) . This passage also refers to God’s steadfast love for Israel (Deuteronomy 29:4). Many of us know what it is like to be abandoned by people who claimed to love us.

They may have professed their loyalty or devotion, but they failed to act on those words. When we are hurt by people who profess their love, our first instinct is to reject them. But this is not what God wants for us.

Instead He wants us to reject them and come back into His grace-filled arms. Instead of rejecting people, it is time that we turn around and offer them our forgiveness and acceptance.
